Description duncan 2018-12-23 17:08:47 EST
On classical discs, it's common to get CDDB data with accents, umlauts, etc. These can be garbled by DLNA clients trying to render the ID3 metadata, and via %A/%L/%T, generate filenames that are difficult to work with at least on the command line.

I'd love to see a "sanitize UTF strings" checkbox option under Preferences...Filenames that would cause all CDDB data to get ASCII-ized by default, perhaps implemented using the iconv library unless there's a better way.

Thanks for your consideration.
