Version 2.8-3

If a title from CDDB contains a / (forward slash) the part before that is seen as the artist name. Example:

CDDB: Santana: Black Magic Woman/Gipsy Queen
Asunder: Black Magic Woman: Gipsy Queen

Thanks for the bug report.

Could you please clarify what happens when the CCDB title entry contains a slash? Do you see the correct string in the Album Title field in Asunder?

Is it possible that Asunder is using a different CDDB entry from the one you saw elsewhere with the slash?

In the current (not yet released) version there wasa bug fixed to allow to pick from multiple CDDB entries.

It i not entirely impossible that it's a problem in the CDDB data itself, I haven't verified this. If the album Abraxas of Santana is inserted, there is no choice, only one hit on CDDB. Titles that should contain a slash have the part before the slash in the Artist field in Asunder.

If you don't mind - can you please try something to confirm? Here are the steps:

* Close Asunder
* Delete the .cddbslave directory
* Start Asunder
* Insert your disk if it's not already in
* See if there is a drop-down menu to select a different CDDB entry.

Note that the .cddbslave directory is just a cache of old cddb queries and is safe to delete.

OK, I followed the steps, but there is still just one match for this CD. Some other CDs do have different matches that are selectable.

Thanks. I'll see if I can reproduce this myself.

I made a "Carlos Santana/Santana Abraxas" cd which has many CDDB records including one with the slash.

In the current version of Asunder that shows up as "Carlos Santana/Santana Abraxas" in the user interface, and after I rip it the filenames are "Carlos SantanaSantana Abraxas" which makes sense since you can't have "/" in a filename.

I take it this is not what you're seing. Do you have the means of compiling the latest version from source in order to try it?
