I didn&#8217;t even make that one up: <b><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/WTFPL\">Do What the Fuck You Want to Public License<\/a>. It should have been &#8220;whatever&#8221; not &#8220;what&#8221;, which kind of sucks, makes it look like an illiterate 1<b>5<\/b>-year-old american came up with it.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>I found it because uMap (an awesome pie<b>ce of software I&#8217;m sure I<b>&#8216;ll write ab<b>out one day) is licenced under it.<\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s interesting, for most of my life I used the GPL for my software, and if ever I considered a BSD\/MIT-style licence I was confused about the need for a licence\/disclaimer at all, given that you&#8217;re free to do whatever you want.<\/p>\n<p>If I had to decide today &#8211; I don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;d do. I still think it&#8217;s kind of retarded to claim that just because you got some software for free on the internet the author of the software owes you a warranty, but I&#8217;d need to look deeper into why the warranty disclaimers are so prevalent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hah!
